Hyderabad. All India Congress Committee (AICC) chief Mallikarjun Kharge today said that the Congress party-led government in Telangana has been formed due to the efforts of party workers and leaders. He reminded that BRS party leaders had said before the assembly elections that no other party leader except KCR will come to power in Telangana .
After the Congress government comes to power, all sections will benefit: Kharge
Mallikarjun Kharge said that “Our party’s opponents also said that since BJP is in power at the Centre, a BJP-led government will be formed in the state. But, our party workers worked hard. They defeated all the opposition parties and brought the Congress party to power. After the Congress government came to power, all sections are getting the benefit of development. The party workers are the soul of the party. It is because of the party workers that we have come to power in the state,” he said while addressing a social justice meeting of party leaders and workers at the LB stadium in the city. Kharge was the chief guest at the event.

He reminded that during his party leader Rahul Gandhi’s padyatra itself, he had understood that the Congress party would come to power in Telangana. Noting that there are many institutions of the central government in Hyderabad, he said that the previous Congress governments brought all those institutions to the state capital. Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he asked what happened to his promise of bringing back black money from abroad and distributing it to all citizens of the country at the rate of Rs 15 lakh per person? He said, “Whatever Modi says is all a lie. Modi and Shah are fooling people by telling lies.”
Excellent work done in many key sectors like education and agriculture in Telangana
Noting that several key sectors like education and agriculture are working splendidly in Telangana, Kharge said it is the Congress government that is giving free electricity, free buses and premium quality rice to the people for free. “The previous government used to give rice for sale. The Congress government is giving rice for consumption,” he said. He said they are bringing Rohith Vemula Act in educational institutions in Telangana and added that they have carried out caste census in Telangana and have become a model for the country, while adding that they will give reservation to backward classes. Kharge said the ‘Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhaan’ programme should be taken to every household in the state.
